1
Write about a similar problem that you tried to solve. What steps did you take? (Activity 1.1)
ANSWER
(Sample answer)
Once, my mobile phone stopped charging. I followed these steps:
- Observation: The phone was not charging when plugged in.
- Question: Why is it not charging?
- Hypothesis: Maybe the charging cable is broken.
- Experiment: I tested the cable with another phone โ it worked fine.
- New Hypothesis: The charger port might be dirty.
- Testing: I carefully cleaned the port and tried again โ it started charging!
This process of guessing and testing helped me solve the problem, just like the scientific method.
2
Describe a daily life situation where someone was following a scientific method. (Activity 1.2)
ANSWER
(Sample answer)

- Observation: Rice was still hard after the normal cooking time.
- Hypothesis: Maybe the water added was less than required.
- Experiment: She added more water and tried again.
- Result: This time the rice cooked perfectly.
She observed, made a guess (hypothesis), tested it, and found a solution โ all steps of the scientific method.
3
