📋 Exam Tips🎯 CBSE Board Exam 2026 — Top 10 Preparation Tips for Class X Students
📅 February 2026 | ✍️ By Sumeet Sahu
Board exams can feel overwhelming, but with the right strategy, you can score excellent marks. Here are 10 proven tips that have helped thousands of my students over the years:
1. Know Your Syllabus Inside Out
Before starting preparation, download the latest CBSE syllabus and marking scheme. Know which chapters carry more weightage and prioritize accordingly.
2. NCERT Is Your Bible
For Science and Social Science, NCERT textbooks are the most important resource. Read every line, understand diagrams, and memorize key definitions. More than 80% of board questions come directly from NCERT.
3. Practice Previous Year Questions (PYQs)
Solving PYQs from the last 5 years gives you the best understanding of exam pattern, marking scheme, and frequently asked questions. We have chapter-wise PYQ papers available for free on our website!
4. Make Short Notes
Create your own revision notes — formulas, key points, important dates, and definitions. These will be your best friend during last-minute revision.
5. Solve Sample Papers Under Timed Conditions
Set a timer for 3 hours and solve full sample papers. This builds exam stamina and teaches you time management — the most common reason students leave questions unanswered.
💡 Pro Tip: After solving each sample paper, check your answers honestly and note down mistakes. Revise those weak areas before attempting the next paper.
6. Focus on Case-Based & Competency Questions
CBSE has increased case-based questions significantly. Practice reading comprehension-style questions in Science and Maths — these require application, not just memorization.
7. Don’t Skip Any Chapter
Many students skip chapters they find difficult. This is risky — even 1-2 questions from those chapters can make a difference of 5-10 marks.
8. Revise Regularly
Follow the revision rule: Revise after 1 day, then after 3 days, then after 7 days. This helps transfer information from short-term to long-term memory.
9. Take Care of Your Health
Sleep at least 7-8 hours. Eat healthy. Take short breaks every 45 minutes of study. A tired mind cannot learn effectively.
10. Stay Positive & Confident
Believe in yourself. If you’ve studied consistently, you WILL do well. Anxiety is your enemy — deep breathing and positive self-talk help a lot on exam day.

📐 Mathematics📐 How to Score 95+ in Class X Mathematics — A Complete Strategy
📅 February 2026 | ✍️ By Sumeet Sahu
Mathematics is the easiest subject to score full marks in — IF you practice enough. Here’s my proven strategy:
Step 1: Master the Formulas
Make a formula sheet for every chapter and revise it daily. You should be able to write any formula without thinking — like writing your own name. Key chapters: Trigonometry, Mensuration, Statistics, and Coordinate Geometry have the most formulas.
Step 2: Practice NCERT Examples First
Before doing exercises, solve all solved examples yourself (without looking at the solution). NCERT examples teach you the method — exercises test it.
Step 3: Solve 4+ Practice Papers Per Chapter
One round of NCERT is not enough. You need to solve multiple practice papers with different question types. Our website has 4+ unique practice papers per chapter — use them!
Step 4: Focus on High-Weightage Chapters
📊 Chapter Weightage (CBSE 2026):
• Algebra (Polynomials, Linear Equations, Quadratic, AP) — 20 marks
• Geometry (Triangles, Circles, Constructions) — 15 marks
• Trigonometry — 12 marks
• Mensuration (Areas, Surface Area & Volume) — 10 marks
• Statistics & Probability — 11 marks
• Number Systems (Real Numbers) — 6 marks
• Coordinate Geometry — 6 marks
Step 5: Never Skip Steps in Solutions
Board exams give step-wise marks. Even if you know the shortcut, write every step clearly. Label your diagrams. Box your final answers.
🏆 Success Formula: NCERT (2 rounds) + Practice Papers (4 per chapter) + PYQs (5 years) + Sample Papers (10) = 95+ guaranteed!
🔬 Science🔬 Science Exam Strategy — How to Remember Diagrams, Reactions & Definitions
📅 February 2026 | ✍️ By Sumeet Sahu
Science requires a mix of understanding, memorization, and practice. Here’s how to master all three:
For Physics: Understand, Don’t Memorize
Physics is about concepts. If you understand WHY something happens (like why a convex lens converges light), you’ll never forget the ray diagrams. Draw diagrams daily — practice makes them automatic.
For Chemistry: Make Reaction Charts
Create a chart of all important chemical reactions chapter-wise. Include: balanced equation, type of reaction, and one real-life example. Revise this chart every 3 days. For Carbon compounds, practice naming organic compounds separately.
For Biology: Use Keywords & Mind Maps
Biology has a lot of text to remember. Use the keyword technique: for every answer, identify 3-4 key terms that MUST be in your response. Create mind maps connecting related topics (like linking Nutrition → Digestive System → Enzymes → Products).
📝 Diagram Tip: CBSE loves diagrams! Practice these daily: Human Heart, Human Brain, Digestive System, Male & Female Reproductive System, Reflex Arc, Eye Structure, Electric Circuit, Magnetic Field Lines. Each diagram can carry 2-3 marks.
📅 Study Planning📅 How to Create the Perfect Study Timetable for Board Exams
📅 February 2026 | ✍️ By Sumeet Sahu
A good timetable is the backbone of exam preparation. Here’s how to create one that actually works:
Rule 1: Be Realistic
Don’t plan 14 hours of study if you can only do 6-7 hours effectively. A realistic timetable you follow daily is 10x better than an ambitious one you abandon after 2 days.
Rule 2: Mix Subjects Daily
Study at least 2-3 subjects every day. Studying one subject for the entire day causes burnout. Alternate between a difficult subject (Maths) and an easier one (Social Science).
Rule 3: Include Revision Slots
Dedicate 30-45 minutes daily ONLY for revising what you studied in the past 3 days. Without revision, you’ll forget 70% of what you learned within a week.
Rule 4: Keep Weekends for Practice Papers
Saturdays and Sundays are perfect for solving full sample papers and analyzing your mistakes. This simulates the actual exam experience.
⏰ Sample Daily Schedule:
• Morning (2 hrs): Mathematics — practice problems
• Mid-day (1.5 hrs): Science — concepts + diagrams
• Afternoon (1.5 hrs): Social Science — notes + maps
• Evening (1 hr): Revision of past 3 days
• Night (30 min): Formula revision before sleep
⚠️ Common Mistakes⚠️ 7 Common Mistakes Students Make in Board Exams (And How to Avoid Them)
📅 February 2026 | ✍️ By Sumeet Sahu
Mistake #1: Not reading the question carefully
Many students lose marks by answering what they THINK the question asks, not what it ACTUALLY asks. Read every question twice before writing.
Mistake #2: Poor time management
Spending 20 minutes on a 2-mark question and rushing through 5-mark questions. Allocate time based on marks: ~1 minute per mark.
Mistake #3: Skipping easy questions
Some students attempt difficult questions first and run out of time for easy ones. Always attempt the questions you’re confident about FIRST.
Mistake #4: Not attempting all questions
Even if you’re unsure, write something relevant. Partial marks are real — writing a formula or diagram can get you 1-2 marks.
Mistake #5: Messy presentation
Neat handwriting, proper diagrams, underlined answers, and numbered steps make a huge impression on examiners. Presentation can earn you 5-8 extra marks.
Mistake #6: Not using the 15-minute reading time
Use the reading time wisely: identify easy questions, plan your attempt order, and mentally note key formulas you’ll need.
Mistake #7: Last-minute new topics
Don’t try to learn new chapters the night before. Use the last day ONLY for revision of what you already know. New information creates confusion.
✅ Golden Rule: Revise what you know → Attempt what you’re confident about → Then try the difficult ones. This order maximizes your marks!
