What this Class 9 Tissues PPT covers
What a tissue is, the levels of organisation from cell to organism, division of labour in multicellular organisms, and why unicellular organisms do not need tissues.
Plant tissues
Meristematic tissue (apical, lateral, intercalary) and permanent tissue โ parenchyma, collenchyma and sclerenchyma โ plus xylem and phloem, with labelled diagrams of each.
Animal tissues
Epithelial tissue and its five types, connective tissue (blood, bone, cartilage, ligament, tendon, areolar, adipose), muscular tissue (striated, unstriated, cardiac) and nervous tissue.
